My first 2 sets of charm packs from the Midnight Maker Charm Swaps I participated in are on their way to me. I have since sent in another 56 charm squares for a third swap, and I’m getting really excited about all the fabrics heading to my mailbox!
I’m going to do my very best to not even open the package until after I have all of the seams clipped on The Blue One’s monkey rag quilt. That quilt has been in the making for probably 18 months, and I just need to clip the last 5 or so rows of seams, one last run of stitches all the way around the outside (an afterthought, I admit), and take it to the laundromat to finish it up. I know I can finish clipping seams tonight if I just sit down and do it!
The 112 charms in the mail are good motivation!

About msminnesota
I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler').
I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!).
This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI!
