I’m Orange

I’ll admit it….I’m slightly addicted to Charm Swaps.  This week I’m sending off fabric to my 3rd swap.  I realize that I need to quit because I’m pretty sure that I already have enough charms for the projects I want to use them in.  But then I saw a Rainbow Swap hosted by Dee at Adventures in Obsessive Crafting, and against my better judgement, I let her know that I would be an alternate.  And then she let me know that there was a spot for me.  So there I was….committed to buying more fabric.  And not just 1 yard, this swap is for TWO different fabrics, so two yards of fabric.  The color I was assigned was orange, which was interesting because orange is one of my least favorite colors, but I had a good time picking out the fabric.  In fact I found 4 that I really liked, so I had to decide which ones I liked better….the ‘on sale’ ones, or the ‘other’ ones.  I went with the ‘other’ ones.  Here are the fabrics I’m sending:
Oranges

Get Together Orange Pig Toss
Get Together by David Walker for Free Spirit Fabrics

and

Robot Factory Orange Robot Connections
Robot Factory by Caleb Gray for Robert Kaufman Fabrics

I’ve been following the Flickr Group for the swap, and I can’t wait to get all the other charms!  I just wish I knew what I was going to do with them this time!

About msminnesota

I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler'). I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!). This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI! IG: wannabequilter

I love the oranges you picked out! I was assigned pink, and this is my first fabric swap, so hope I did ok. I can totally see myself becoming addicted if I’m not careful, lol.

Thanks for stopping by! I like the pinks you chose – they look great.
I can’t wait to get them – although I know I won’t be using them right away anyway!
