UPS Man!

Don’t you just love it when one of these arrives…

Inside are the makings for my next project.  It’s a class on Sept 10, so I’m glad I have my fabric plenty early so I can press and cut and be ready to go!

I LOVE the chevron fabric, and I’ve been kind of jonesing for it for a while.  Now I have something to use it on!  Besides the yellow and red, there is also navy.

And aren’t the ladies at Fat Quarter Shop just so darn helpful?  I emailed for a suggestion of which white would go best with the chevrons.  I’m typically a Bella Solids kind of girl, but Cheryl said the white in the fabric is a very bright white, and she suggested Kona’s Ultra White.  And guess what??  It’s perfect!  (I knew it would be.)

I bought big rainbow chevron for the back, and I’m going to find either a red or a navy solid for the binding (that can come later).

My current project is very time consuming, so I’m hoping this class on Sept 10 turns out to be a quick pattern.  I’ll share it when I can!

Have a great holiday weekend!

About msminnesota

I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler'). I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!). This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI! IG: wannabequilter
