I have a few too many WIPs right now. I’m normally a one-project-at-a-time type of girl, but I currently have a number of things in WIP mode:
- Table runners
- Coasters (I may ditch these completely)
- Test pattern blocks
- Reunion quilt
And you know what I WANT to do? None of them. *sigh*
What I do want to do is make a pillowcase for The Pink One. The Blue One made his own at a class on Saturday. I have fabric for hers sitting out, so I think I should just get to it. It’s a super quick project anyway. She’ll be pretty happy when she has her own, even though she doesn’t sleep on a pillow, but on a stuffed dog (Floyd) instead.
I also want to start pressing and cutting fabric for my Halloween and Christmas quilts.
So, because I’m so darn indecisive, I have no project-related photos to share today. But I did take a quick pic this morning before I left for work. It was time to get shoes on, and The Pink One said, ‘I want to wear my star shoes. You should wear your star shoes too, mama.’ So I did.
Pop on over and say HI to Lee at Freshly Pieced. While you’re there, check out what the other talented ladies (and sometimes gents) are up to this week.
I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I am on a roll and then *smack* a wall hits me and I run out of ambitions to get anything done. Matter of fact I hit the same slump over the summer and made pillowcases for my daughter. Oh, and star shoes are very loved in my house too!
I think I’ll be making pillowcases just for the sake of making them, but that’s OK – maybe some day they’ll get used! Thanks for stopping by!
I have those exact same star shoes! I wish I was doing any kind of sewing, but I’ve been working on replacing and painting woodwork. My sewing room is completely torn up…ugh! I want to be quilting!!
Don’t you love Converse? I hate it when house projects get in the way of ‘other’ projects!
My husband, oldest son, and I all have matching black converse, and I get so excited when my son asks for all three of us to wear our shoes. Sure, maybe it’s super corny, but I love it! I need a daughter so I can get some pink ones! 🙂
My son had a pair of Converse last year, but my husband said he wouldn’t wear them, so we’re not a 4-Converse family, sadly! 🙂
Oh I love the matching pink star shoes…I might have to put those on the shopping list. But I know what you mean about the sewing wall. I’ve been under the weather and just haven’t felt like using my machine.
I hope you feel better soon and get your sewing mojo back!
IM the same way. im avoiding today! maybe i just need more coffee to kickstart me into finishing up some things
More coffee is always a good idea!
