It’s been over a month since my last post. It’s been even longer since I last touched my fabric. I have an excuse! In the beginning of October I started an evening class in preparation of me taking the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification exam. 4 hours a night, 2 nights a week. I haven’t been a student for over 15 years. Four hours of class after 9 or so hours of work a day is killing me, but we’re over 1/2 way done, so the end’s in sight. Then comes the exam. A 4 hour exam with 200 questions. Sounds like a good time, doesn’t it?
On top of the class, in the middle of October we packed up the family and flew south of a week to Orlando. The kids had no idea that we were going on a trip, so I had to pack and prepare for everyone in secret until it was time to go. We had a great week, but wow….hubby & I could have definitely used a vacation after we returned from vacation!
I need to get my head back in the quilting game because I’m heading to a retreat next weekend, and I need to get myself organized and ready to go. The smart thing is to not start anything new, except maybe a little something special, but I don’t know if I can stick to that plan! I’m for sure taking my test pattern fabric. I’m considering pressing fabric for a Christmas kit that I bought back in September. I’m waffling about taking my Reunion quilt that I’m slowly working on. There are just so many pieces to each of the squares that it’s a little intimidating! What it boils down to is that I don’t have a plan! Oh yeah, and I may also take fabric for The Pink One’s pillowcase. It might be a nice little distraction. Something I’ll be able to complete during the retreat – may be good for my mojo!
I’ll be sure to post pics from the retreat. Then I’ll be on the down-low again until I’m done with class at he end of November. I hope to be back to quilting more often soon!
