My plan for tonight was to finish the donation quilt so The Blue One and I could deliver it to the Project Linus meeting tomorrow, but that’s just not going to happen tonight. I’ve run into a couple of problems.
Problem #1:
I stitch my bindings on the front, first, then machine stitch the back. When I was doing the back, I happened to flip it over to take a peek, and I saw that. Oh No! I honestly don’t know how it happened, since I should have seen it when I stitched the front on first. I had a mild freak-out, then ripped, and started again. It’s down again, and it looks fine.
So I sew, sew, sew, and then this:
Really? I’m out of thread?!? Ug! I guess it’s time to turn off the machine, grab another glass of wine, and grab a good book!
Despite my ‘un’-finish, I’m linking up to Chery’s finish it Friday over at crazy mom quilts.
Oh that would be frustrating! You’ll get it done soon and I am sure it will be great! And hey, like you said, a good chance to grab a wine and a good book!
Still not quite done…the new spool of thread I bough to complete the binding rolled under the couch and was missing for a day. It’s been found and I can now complete the binding! Then more wine!
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Been there too! Hope that glass of wine helped! Today is a new day and all will go smoothly, I’m sure 🙂
Ugg… One reason I sew them on by hand, I have to lstare at it for so long, I spot these *issues* before I’m too far gone… LOL! But I really like the wine idea, that works wonders, too! Speaking of too far gone….
