I feel a bit of a tug to get my sewing space organized. But if I’m being honest, I’d much rather sew! I know I’m not alone.
I’ve had some things from Ikea for several months that will help slightly in the organization, and last weekend I finally decided that I was going to use them and asked the hubby to install them for me. Without much further ado…

Bars where I can hang some tools and rulers. The white bucket is my garbage scrap pail.
My hubby mounted that iron holder a few months ago – I love it!

‘Odds’ & ‘Ends’ – jars for scraps & selvedges

Not a fantastic picture, but these are magnetic tins that I’ve put pins & other random stuff in. It’s mounted just to the right of my machine within easy reach.
Now, if I could just figure out how to effectively sort, organize & store my fabric. That’s a HUGE WIP!

About msminnesota
I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler').
I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!).
This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI!

Ooo! Ikea! I’d recognize those bars and hooks anywhere! Love!
Thanks! I have had them for months and they hadn’t been installed. Then I saw Kristen @ Doodle Do Designs had re-organized her space and used the same bars/hooks and I decided it was time for me to unwrap them and ask hubby to install them. I thank her for the prod! 🙂
