Too Many WIPs!

I’m normally project-monogamous because it kind of makes me twitchy when I have too many projects going on at once and that’s exactly what’s happening right now.  I need to get some of these projects finished because it’s making me a little crazy!!!

WIP 1
I just finished cutting everything for the Bloom Bloom Pow QAL over at Freshly Pieced.  So far I’m keeping on track- we’ll see if I can keep this up.

WIP 2
Noteworthy wallhanging for my cubicle is pieced, but that’s as far as I got. I’m going to quilt this myself – not something I am comfortable doing but I’m going to give it a shot.  It’s a Disappearing Nine Patch and I love how it looks.

WIP 3
The Creeper Quilt – all quilted and waiting to be bound.  I don’t have a fantastic picture of it just yet, but here it is on the longarm.  I decided to go with modern squares for the quilting and ditched the idea of straight-line quilting it completely.  I love how it turned out.  It’s a gift for The Blue One so I can only work on it while he’s in bed so I’m not sure when I’ll get the binding put on.

WIP 4
Glamping.  Everything is cut and I’ve started piecing.  It’s ready for the next step and sitting next to my machine if ever there’s a free moment.

Finished WIPs
Yesterday I finished the 2 pillowcases that will go with my Project Linus donation quilt once that’s quilted and bound.  They’ve been sitting on the counter in my sewing space for 2 months and all they needed was the final seam to finish them.  Done!

I can’t wait to see what people are working on and linking up to over at Lee’s.  I’m betting there will be a bunch of Bloom Bloom Pow QAL link-ups.  Go see what everyone’s doing!

About msminnesota

I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler'). I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!). This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI! IG: wannabequilter
