More WIPs

Last week I posted about my WIP overload and believe it or not, I actually forgot a couple!

Both of the forgotten WIPs are for brand new baby boys.

WIP 5
I don’t have a picture of this quilt yet as it’s a gift and not quite finished.  There’s a panel in the middle of the quilt that I quilted with the compuquilter on the longarm a couple of weeks ago.  I decided to quilt the borders myself on my home machine but haven’t quite made it that far.  I just need to take the time to finish it up and get the binding on.  Shouldn’t take too long, if I can just get motivated to start the last few steps.

WIP 6
The taggie for baby boy #2.  Still in the same state it was in when I posted about it here.  Just a couple of stitches and it’s done….but refer to WIP 5 for my motivation problem!

Since it’s Wednesday, I’m linking up to Lee @ Freshly Pieced.  What’s everyone else doing this week?

About msminnesota

I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler'). I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!). This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI! IG: wannabequilter

  1. Cute taggie! I have never made one of those, but what a good idea instead of a whole quilt… I have been trying to come up with smaller than a quilt gifts for baby boys… I find girls are so much easier than boys when giving homemade gifts. Best of luck on all of those WIPs.

My eldest used to love tags on everything. We even bought her special wash cloths, just for the tags. Wish we had had a taggie for her.

I want to hear from you...
