Not a quilting project, but instead burp cloths for a brand new baby girl. It’s the quickest thing I could whip up, considering mom & dad didn’t find out the gender beforehand.
I don’t think they look too bad considering they’re the first ones I’ve ever made. The green/pink monkeys with the pink stripe….my original plan was to do a 9-patch, then decided I couldn’t be bothered because I just wanted to finish it quickly, so I left it in strips. I agree that it would have looked better if I had just left it one wide monkey strip, but I had already gone down the path of cutting and sewing – I didn’t want to press and cut more fabric! (Yes, tonight I’m a bit lazy!)
Tomorrow is long-arm day! Here are my three (yes….3!) projects I’m taking, all pressed and hung up and ready to go…
In order they are: Noteworthy wall hanging (40×40), Glamping backing (red gingham), Glamping top (folded inside out), and in the back you can barely see black& white & purple – that’s my one and only Swoon block, done in Halloween fabric – it will go on the kitchen table when it’s done. My first priority is the Glamping quilt and the other 2 will happen if I have time. I can’t wait!
Since it’s Friday and I finished up my project, I’m linking up to Amanda Jean’s Finish It Up Friday (Crazy Mom Quilts).
visiting from crazy mum quilts. Wow three quilts ready to get sandwiched together. Well done you. That is a good present to whip up at the last minute
Thanks! I managed to get them all quilted on Saturday – that was impressive in itself!
What a great present! Love it!
Thanks! And thank you for stopping by!
