I have more WIPs than I care to admit, but the ones I’m CURRENTLY working on are:
- Noteworthy Stacks of Colour (Jelly Roll Quilt)
- Boo Crew Honeycomb – Lori Holt (Hexies)
A quick little run to the long arm last Saturday and I came home with this – a gift for my mother-in-law. The gracious model is The Blue One. He had just come in from playing outside in the very cold weather, so it was perfect for him to wrap up in!
It’s Kate Spain’s JOY done in Terry Atkinson’s Fire Escape pattern. I finished the top in January, but was in no rush to finish it since I didn’t need it until Christmas anyway.
I’m also working on getting my sewing space more organized. A quick trip to IKEA and I’ve got another 4×4 bookcase to put boxes of fabric in. We also purchased something that I can use as a design wall. Hubby hung it for me, but I’m not ready for the big reveal just yet – I need a different piece of batting. The one on it right now is too small, and my big one is too big so I’ve got to cut it down and I just wasn’t in the mood for that last night!
That’s all for now. I should be cleaning or doing some other sort of prep for the family that’s invading for tomorrow’s feast, but I’d rather hang out here with y’all!
It’s Wednesday, so we’re linking up to Lee!
I’ve seen so many of those cut in half hexies lately. LOVE it
I love it, too! 🙂 Can’t wait to start sewing it together. Thanks for stopping by!
Oh, your hexagon quilt is going to be fantastic too — love that fabric! I’ve seen that technique here and there before and thought maybe I’d try it someday, but never have.
There is a lot on my ‘someday’ list, too! 🙂
Thanks for dropping in!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I spy some hexies : ) Lovely projects you have going on
My first hexies. I’m a little worried about putting it all together!
Thanks for stopping in!
You have so many great WIPs going on. But, oh, how I love the hexies! Swoon! 🙂
Too many WIPs for my liking, but I’m coping! 🙂
All of your projects are beautiful! Pretty fabrics to work with.
Thanks, Deb!
I love your son modelling the quilt! I love involving my kids in my quilting, this morning my three year old was ‘helping’ me baste and I went to great effort to explain it properly. I figure I’m informing future quilters 😉 thanks for linking up!
I told him he can make his own quilt over the summer. He wasn’t enthused! (He made his own pillowcase – I think that was enough for him!)
