This was my view for the first hour of our drive to the in-laws today…

I’m ripping out all of the quilting on my Noteworthy quilt that I first attempted to quilt in December. The original post is here. I was so bummed out about it when I got home from quilting it that I folded it and put it in a closet for a couple of months. I dragged it out once and ripped for almost 2 hours and made very little progress.
Today I made a little more progress, but it certainly doesn’t seem like it. I’ll be honest and say that I’m also a little gun-shy about putting it back on the long arm machine.
I’d better get back to it…

About msminnesota
I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler').
I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!).
This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI!

I feel your pain. I spent part of yesterday and today ripping out the Free Motion Quilting (first time) I did on a wall hanging since I didn’t like it. I still need to finish the rest of the wall hanging.
It’s just a little depressing, isn’t it? Thanks for stopping by and commenting – it’s helpful to know I’m not alone!
I am so proud of you! We will get that quilt quilted again!! It will be amazing when it is done! Let me know if you need help.
I’m going to buy one of those electric seam rippers – it should make the progress go faster!
Yikes! Looks like you are making progress though…you will be happy in the end. Someone should open a ripping service:) Good use of time in the car too…although you probably have to vacuum!
I would totally pay someone to rip that out! I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped and I’d much rather sew than rip…so it will get put away for a while again.
