It seems like every few months I have to get in my space and clean it up and reorganize. A few weeks ago I posted that I was starting the process, but I didn’t get too far! Earlier this week I spent a couple of hours cleaning, throwing things away, organizing, and I’m very happy with the results.
The BEFORE pictures are here. The BEFORE pano pic:

And here are the AFTER pictures:

Oh what a difference a couple of hours make!

About msminnesota
I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler').
I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!).
This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI!

Nice job cleaning house – it always feels like anything is possible when my workspace is tidy and ready to take on the next project!
The problem is – what’s the next project? 🙂 To start another that I may or may not finish, or to pick up one of my many WIPs and power through. I’m pretty sure it’ll be a new project! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!
love your sewing room, Maybe one day i will have one
I realize that I’m very lucky to have this space. My husband did a great job finishing it for me.
I loved seeing your sewing space! I also love to clean up and reorganize. Just makes me feel better. Happy New Year!
I agree with you about it making me feel better. Makes me want to sew! Thank you for popping by and commenting.
Cleaning up your work space is like decluttering your thoughts. You come across things that you were going to use for a new project, but got distracted and forgot, or see things paired up in a whole new perspective. It’s also a creative process, I think. My clean up is imminent. I’ve lost my cutting ruler. I’m just glad to know it isn’t just me who has to stop and regroup. And, I love your oasis you’ve shown us.
Exactly! I do have really great space. What I didn’t take a photo of this time is my design wall, but it’s pictured here: https://wannabequilter.com/2014/06/19/quilt-design-wall-done/
My husband has really done a great job for me in that room.
Thank you for stopping by and Happy New Year to you!
Great job cleaning up for a fresh start in the new year! Oh, and ps — your sewing room is amazing! Happy New Year!
Thanks, Kim!
Looks great! Maybe I need to do a similar cleanup….
It helps me to focus when I’ve got less clutter in there. I need to do it again!
