Sunday, lazy Sunday

I had help adding to my stash this week. Gretchen went back to SR Harris and picked me up these super cute Geekly Chic glasses by Riley Blake:

She also picked up some Swinging Girls Sherbet Pips for herself and I asked if I could have 4.5″ just in case I need it for a pink baby quilt. I’ll consider it part of my stash temporarily. If the baby we’re waiting on is a girl, I’m totally adding these girls to the quilt.  Fingers crossed!

I ordered a blogger’s bundle from Fat Quarter Shop this week – the first time I’ve ordered a bloggers bundle but I’ve considered it several times. I have no plans for it – just liked the prints!

Yesterday Gretchen & I had a date with the longarm and I quilted two quilts – Meg’s Mermaids and Trucks. I’ll post about them soon. I was able to put the binding on Mermaids today, but Trucks still needs to be cleaned up – cut off extra the batting and backing material.

It’s Sunday so I’m linking up with Molli

About msminnesota

I'm a wife, mom of two (one blue, one pink), and I work full time. Our family loves to camp, and we're often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 10 years ago, then put everything away when The Blue One was born. A few years ago a good friend decided to take up this 'hobby' and I've been back at it ever since. She's my partner in crime (A.K.A. 'the enabler'). I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer - I'm just not that good at geometry (I rely on my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs at times!). This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to say HI! IG: wannabequilter

  1. What beautiful new prints, I especially love the little girl swinging fabric, so sweet.

Ooh, some of those blogger bundles are so delicious! I’ve thought about buying one more than once! And this one is divine! 🙂

  3. I so hope you get to use that Sherbert Pips fabric! Enablers are the best, aren’t they? Gosh, I think I have one living in my own body! I also wanted to say thank you for the comment you left me; I love you too! Welcome to the Glitterati! Kisses!

I want to hear from you...
