I’m Julie.
Mom of 2 (a Blue One and a Pink One) and Wife of 1.
Our family loves to camp, and we’re often on mini adventures during the summer. My fall/winter/spring/rainy day hobby is quilting. I started about 12 years ago and up until last year ago had only ever finished the quilts that I’ve given as gifts! I used to be project monogamous and happy about it. In the past couple of years I’ve been starting new projects before finishing others, and now I’ve got too many WIPs and I don’t like it! However, I currently don’t have any desire to get back to those WIPs sitting on the shelf, so I guess I’ll keep starting new projects. It’s a vicious cycle!
I have no aspirations of becoming a quilt designer – I’m just not that good at geometry or math. (I’ve been known to enlist the help of my math major/computer programmer husband to help with piecing backs). I also don’t plan to become a professional long arm quilter. I rent time on a machine to finish my own quilts, but that’s as far as that goes.
This little blog is my way of chronicling my quilting adventures. Occasionally I post about non-quilting things as well.
Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to say HI!
I’m a wanna-be-quilter. There you have it – that’s my confession!
Thanks for stopping by my blog…I actually did my longarm quilting on a machine that I bought but am being trained on. They do however rent time on their machine. I bet someone in your area rents time also.

Hello I just wanted to say thank you for leaving such a lovely comment on my blog – I tried to reply but it said you are a no-reply blogger, Kind regards, Serena
I know I’m a no-reply blogger, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why! Maybe I should have my techy hubby check into that for me! 🙂
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog!!! You made my day!
Hi Julie! Like Serena, I wanted to thank you so much for the visit to my blog and for leaving such lovely comments. Since you are no reply (because I am have a blogspot blog and you are on wordpress?) I wanted to return the visit and say thank you!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by singwhilecrafting.blogspot.com – I just wanted to say that your stuff is way cute. You shouldn’t be nervous to join in a swap. I was crazy nervous for my first one, same reason. But in the end I sent off something that I loved and really wanted to keep. lol. I think you would enjoy the swaps – give it a try someday!
